Put a room full of people together and ask them the same question and you will get many different answers. Why?
We see things from our own point of view, from our experiences, cultures, family dynamics, people who have influenced us and of course social media.
Or, seeing things differently from someone else can simply be a matter of where our interests are and where we place our attention.
It does’t mean one way is right or wrong. It’s simply a matter of they’re different.
It seems to me that past communication was easier than it is today. I remember being able to discuss/debate with another, each other listening and sharing their points of view. No one had to change, or possible someone would, but in the end it was a matter of staying friends and moving on.
In our families, we can at times want another to see things our way but we’re not willing to see things theirs. Conflict and possibly hurt feelings and at its worse, isolation.
When we are willing to pause and listen to anothers point of view and they do the same for us, growth and peace can be the end result.
Here we have the Head and Heart from the Awkward Yeti sharing their points of view about snow.

Is there someone in your life that you could pause and ask for clarification about what another has said or done that you don’t quite understand? It may be bumpy at first, but in the end you'll be happy you had the courage to ask. It's Self-Care.
If you need support let us know. We have many resources to share.
